Navdeep Chhabra thrilled to debut with a comedy

Navdeep Chhabra, who will be seen playing a musician in director Devang Dholakia’s Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, is excited to be a part of this comic venture that opens in cinemas on May 8.
About his character, he says, “I play Ram Kapoor’s son, who has been born and brought up in Malaysia. He is passionate about music. In fact, Devang put me through gruelling guitar sessions. I also had to learn how to play other instruments, since the film portrays me as the face of a band and the director wanted the nuances to be perfect.”

Navdeep’s acting skills were also challenged in the film.“Comedy is a difficult genre and to perform against seasoned actors simply tested my skills further. Also, Devang is an uncompromising director and made me push the envelope,” he says, adding, “My look has also been carefully designed, keeping in mind my character, both on and off stage. For me, this has been an elevating experience and I’m looking forward to the audience’s reaction to the film with eager anticipation.”
Praising the actor, Devang says, “Navdeep is handsome, talented and has an amazing screen presence. Most importantly, he has allowed me to mould him the way I wanted and has never shied away from giving his best.”
